The short version

Cartwise earns a commission when you buy something after clicking a link on our site. The retailer pays that commission out of their own margin. It does not add anything to the price you pay. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to the retailer directly.

Where our prices come from

We want to be straight with you about this. Cartwise is new, and we do not yet have live pricing feeds from retailers. The prices shown across this site are indicative sample figures that demonstrate how our comparison works. They are not live quotes and may not match what a seller is charging today. Always confirm the price on the retailer's own site before you buy.

We are working on agreements that will let us show genuine, regularly updated prices. Until that is in place, we would rather label this plainly than let you assume the numbers are something they are not.

How our rankings work

This is the important bit. We rank sellers by the delivered price, the item price plus shipping, rather than the sticker price. We do not rank by who pays us the most, and we do not accept payment for a better position. If the cheapest option earns us nothing, it still goes at the top.

Where the cheapest seller has a trade-off, for example a long delivery time from overseas, we say so on the page and point you to the best local alternative. We would rather tell you the honest answer and keep you coming back than win one commission today.

Who we work with

We participate in affiliate programs run by retailers and networks including Amazon Associates, Commission Factory, Impact, Awin, eBay Partner Network and Skimlinks. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

Not every seller we show has an affiliate program. When a retailer genuinely has the best price, we list them whether or not we earn anything from it, because leaving them out would make the comparison a lie.

Prices and accuracy

Prices and availability come from retailer data feeds and can change at any time. We refresh regularly, but the retailer's own website is always the source of truth. Please check the final price at checkout before you buy.

No cashback, no gimmicks

We do not offer cashback and we do not run a rewards scheme. Our only product is an honest comparison. That keeps our incentives simple: if the advice is good, you come back.
